In this podcast we hear from Principal Viola Choong-Jin Chang, who will perform the role of Sancho Panza in Richard Strauss's Don Quixote, along with guest cellist Arto Noras as Don Quixote, in performances slated for June 4, 5, 6, and 8, 2010. Chief Conductor Charles Dutoit conducts the concerts, which also include Strauss's Don Juan and Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 5 ,featuring guest soloist Arabella Steinbacher.

This week The Philadelphia Orchestra welcomes celebrated British conductor Sir Roger Norrington, who leads the ensemble in performances of Beethoven's Symphony No. 4, Mozart's Bassoon Concerto, and Schumann's Symphony No. 1. Principal Bassoon Daniel Matsukawa is the featured soloist on in the Bassoon Concerto and discusses here the important role that the Concerto has played in his musical life.
